Project coordinator and responsible for the industrial research of TP-MP fastening solutions for XXL monopiles, in particular, solutions related to large metric bolts. He will also participate in the definition of the design conditions of monopiles for wind turbines +15 MW.
It will be responsible for specifying the requirements of the parts for the application of anti-corrosion coatings and will analyse new materials and methodologies for anti-corrosion treatments. Subsequently, it will validate and compare the anti-corrosion treatments that have been applied throughout the project.
Responsible for research into new formulations and application of component protection systems in offshore environments, more specifically, topcoat formulations for galvanised steels and coating application processes.
Responsible for research into innovations for the manufacture of XXL monopiles, such as the use of electron beam welding for joining thick steel. In addition, it will study the sustainability of the solutions developed.
It will participate in the definition of requirement specifications for the fabrication of monopiles by electron beam welding. In addition, it will carry out the first approximation of the parameters of this technology.
Responsible for the conceptual design of both the transition piece and the sector flange for XXL monopiles. It will also develop and validate a guided joint system and then redesign the sector flange with such a system.
It will participate in the definition and translation of heat treatment process specifications and in the development of the necessary instrumentation. In addition, it will validate heat treatment processes.
